Ok I am 14 years old, and today I have been diagnosed with tinnitus. I do listen to music loud and play guitar loud, but that will have t o change … OK on with the story, this has been going on since Saturday. My doctor has given me an anti-inflammatory medicine. And he said if that doesn’t work he would refer me to a specialist. Is there a chance my tinnitus can go away, because on this one medical site I read that the ringing can decrease volume wise, or be elimentated. Is it possible my tinnitus can “go away” …?
Actually ge gave me a sample of methylprednisolone which I found out is a steroid, will this help me??? Please I need to know, and even if I get treatment, will I be able to play shows w/ my band ???
I’ve suffered from tinnitus for more than ten years now, but in the last few years symptoms have really started to take a turn for the worse and now the condition has become quite painful physically. I experience constant earaches, headaches, soreness/tingling, and occasional vertigo (though no insomnia). Anyone know of any alternative remedies (e.g. acupuncture, herbal medicines, etc.,) that may help?
Let me elaborate a bit….I know what caused my tinnitus: it was my years and years of constant headphone use (something which has made me feel like a bit of a spokesperson for people who use I-pods).
There’s no question about that because I’ve never had any tumors and I don’t suffer Meniere’s Disease.
I think the original symptoms (while somewhat alarming) didn’t really bother me. Only since the physical pain started has this really started to make life difficult.

I don’t expect to get many answers here as I think the commercial just started to air, but it is soooo annoying as it has this very high pitched noise that hurts your ears. I have had tinnitus before, and it flairs up periodically, usually trigged by loud, high-pitched noise—-like this commercial!! I have even heard this commercial when in another room and not even paying attention to what is on CNN; it is that irritating. Others?
Why would any radio station play that commercial? They play this loud, extended, whiny pitch, trying to duplicate what a person with tinnitus would hear. I’d bet they are creating customers. I instantly change the channel!
I have been suffering from tinnitus for the last six month. It startedafter a feeling of fullnes on the rh ear. I have experienced no sign of hearing loss or vertigo. The E N T said that probably i have problem of fluid preasure inside the choclea, But that he cannot confirm if it is the biginning of Menniers Disease. Please someone can help me…?
I just can’t stand this anymore, battling with tinnitus for months and it almost kill me. Been searching for tinnitus remedies and I would like to ask for help. Sometimes my left ear blocked and I couldn’t hear anything in it. Anything can stop my ear ringing problem? I had tried many medical and drug but it can only control but not cure it completely, any alternative remedies for tinnitus? Arrggh… life is hard.
